According to Verizon’s 2022 data breach report, there has been a 13% increase in ransomware attacks over the past five years. In fact, just this year alone, the average cost of a ransomware attack has been $1.85 million. The National Health Service (NHS) recently experienced a $100 million loss after being hit with the WannaCry ransomware attack. The first half of 2022 saw nearly 236.7 million ransomware attacks worldwide.
